Huge rush on Namma Metro Purple Line as power supply works hit service
As a result of overnight power supply work, Namma Metro train services between Indiranagar and Baiyappanahalli on the Purple Line are still affected. Currently, Majestic and other stations are experiencing a massive influx of passengers.
At this time, Indiranagar is the final destination for all trains arriving from Kengeri and Majestic. To get to Swami Vivekananda (Old Madras Road) and Baiyappanahalli stations, commuters must board BMTC buses.
In order to complete the 2.1-km Baiyappanahalli-KR Pura stretch, the lone gaping hole in the Purple Line, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) began altering power supply systems at the station on Monday night.
When metro train services began for the day at 5 am, the power supply work was still not finished.
