Indian company leaders will travel to Silicon Valley with SoftBank for an Al tour.
Next month, SoftBank intends to host an Al tour in Silicon Valley for a group of Indian company founders. Swiggy, Ola, and OYO are among the Indian businesses that SoftBank owns. The executive of the Japanese conglomerate, Sumer Juneja, remarked, “What we don’t want to do is invest in a company that misses the Al wave and then becomes irrelevant three years later.”
SoftBank, headed by Masayoshi Son, almost stopped funding startups in the first quarter of 2016 but started up again in the second quarter. With almost $40 billion in cash on hand, the Japanese corporation is currently bringing chip designer Arm Holdings Ltd. public in a deal that will earn more cash.
