Violence-hit Manipur 170 students have joined educational institutions in Karnataka.
In just 11 days after the Karnataka government issued an order granting special admissions to students from Manipur, which has been ripped apart by conflict, some 170 kids from the area have enrolled in a number of institutions and colleges throughout the State.
A total of 60 individuals have registered in PU courses and colleges, while about 110 kids have started higher primary and high schools. Private management boarding schools are where every student has registered.
People are moving to other States for education and shelter as violence continues unabatedly. In order to assist students from that State in continuing their education, the Karnataka government has simplified the enrollment process.
The State administration issued an order indicating that applications from Manipur pupils in grades I through X seeking enrollment in schools using the State curriculum for the academic year 2023–2024 would be treated as exceptional cases if they lacked the required paperwork.
Without requiring them to present their birth certificate, transfer certificate, or any other evidence, they should be registered. The student or parents should provide a self-attestation letter to schools and colleges, and they should enrol them in the same class they were in at their prior school.
