Bengaluru Bandh: ex- cricketer Anil Kumble travels by BMTC bus

Anil Kumble, a former Indian captain, and coach, traveled by BMTC bus on Monday when private carriers in Bengaluru had a day-long bandh in protest of a number of demands.

Later, when the private transport unions received assurances from the transport minister R Ramalinga Reddy that he would endeavour to meet most of their requests, the unions called off the bandh. The minister has consented to 27 of the 30 demands.
