To combat misinformation, the Karnataka government has proposed a fact-checking unit.

A state-run fact-checking organization will be established by the Karnataka government to combat false information and fake news in the region. The unit will include many wings, including an oversight committee, a single point of contact, and other nodal officers from various departments.

In response to an FIR that the state government had filed, anchor Sudhir Chaudhary approached the Karnataka High Court.

There are about 4,000 dengue cases in Bengaluru.

Priyank Kharge, a minister for the state of Karnataka, stated that this fact-checking will handle information verifications and also serve as a media outreach center.
