Delhi Pollution News: Delhi's air quality moves to 'severe' category

According to the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi's air quality fell into the severe category on Friday, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) at 466 at 8 a.m. Mumbai's AQI was 171, whereas Ahmedabad's was 145. Meanwhile, images of the Delhi Municipal Corporation sprinkling water on Lodhi Road appeared.

Due to rising pollution levels, all government and private elementary schools in Delhi would be closed for the next two days, announced CM Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday. The air quality in Delhi in October was the worst since 2020. The Air Quality Index (AQI) has broken the 'Severe' category in numerous districts of Delhi-NCR.
