Under the Nirbhaya initiative, the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has requested bids from organizations to conduct a functional assessment of its recently released Namma BMTC application.

The Namma BMTC app, released in September, has received numerous complaints from passengers about its operation. Officials, however, stated that it is a routine examination to learn more about its functionality.

The Government of India has provided funds to BMTC under the Nirbhaya Scheme for implementing the BMTC Mobile app with women's safety features, an in-bus surveillance system in city buses, and a Passenger Information System.
