After it was discovered that they had requested 10,000 for maintaining pets, a Resident Welfare Association (RWA) guideline for pet parents in Bengaluru garnered anger from not just animal owners but also animal rights activists and social media users.

According to reports, the RWA of the Ittina Mahavir apartment complex in the Electronic City region has required pet parents to deposit a refundable amount of $10,000 per pet in order to retain animals inside the apartment complex.
