The accused, who was roughly 40 years old, was a Nigerian citizen who came to India on a medical visa.
Officials confronted him after being alerted. They led him to a questioning room, where he admitted to taking cocaine pills before boarding the airplane in Addis Abeba. The officials got a court order to transport him to a hospital, where all of the capsules were extracted under medical supervision.
The Nigerian was arrested and placed in judicial detention under the NDPS Act.
After landing in Bengaluru, the accused planned to board a domestic flight to Delhi, according to investigators. He was supposed to give over the smuggled drugs to capital handlers.
