When the flight arrived in Bengaluru, an engineer was rushed to fix the malfunctioning toilet door, which was successfully opened, according to the spokeswoman.

According to the statement, medical specialists quickly assessed the passenger's well-being.

"On January 16, a passenger was stuck inside the lavatory for about an hour on a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru while the aircraft was airborne due to a door lock malfunction." Throughout the voyage, our personnel assisted and guided the guest. When an engineer arrived, he unlocked the lavatory door and provided the passenger with prompt medical assistance, according to the spokeswoman.

The incident occurred on flight SG-268, which took off from Mumbai Airport at 2 a.m., according to the Times of India.

The passenger apparently used the restroom shortly after the seatbelt signals went off.

According to Tol, one of the air hostesses slipped a note to comfort the flier once the crew realized there was no way to open the door.

The note stated, "Sir, we did our utmost to open the door but were unable to. Do not panic. We will arrive in a few minutes, so please close the commode lid, sit on it, and fasten yourself. As soon as the main door is open, the engineer will arrive."
