Bengaluru hospitals prepare for firecracker-related crises during Deepavali.

With specialist facilities prepared, Bengaluru's hospitals are improving emergency services in advance of Deepavali to tackle expected firecracker injuries.

Bengaluru's Victoria and Minto Hospitals are strengthening their emergency response plans in anticipation of the expected spike in firecracker injuries as Deepavali draws near. Both institutions have enough personnel and equipment to offer emergency care whenever it's needed.

A cutting-edge burns care unit at Victoria Hospital was created especially to deal with firework events. For patients with such injuries, this center has a specific block and a dedicated burns unit.

Medical personnel are ready for critical care and emergency procedures and are on high alert at all times. They have intravenous fluids, dressing supplies, ventilators, and antibiotics on stock. According to the report, mild burn cases will be handled as outpatients, and individual patient rooms have been set up to reduce cross-contamination.

The hospital's plastic surgery team is prepared to help with more serious injuries. The Minto Ophthalmic Hospital has established a new 35-bed ward to treat firecracker-related eye injuries. With a dedicated operating room for emergency treatments and specialists on call around-the-clock, the ward is well-designed to handle men, women, and children.
