Bengaluru will receive 'E-Path' to facilitate ambulance

'E-Path, a new app from the city's Traffic Police, is expected to relieve Bengaluru's infamous traffic jams, which frequently cause emergency vehicles to be delayed, according to Prajavani.

E-Path is intended to simplify ambulance routes by directing vehicles through the least crowded routes and removing traffic signals. By connecting to the central traffic control center, this smartphone app tracks registered ambulances and provides priority notifications to assist in navigating obstacles.

In order to provide quicker and safer emergency responses, ambulance drivers can also use the app's SOS feature to get rapid assistance.

Ambulance drivers must first download the E-Path app from the Google Play Store, then enter the emergency's priority and start and destination locations. This information is relayed straight to the Traffic Management Center, which uses GPS-based adaptive signals to clear the route in real time for high-priority situations like heart attacks or serious accidents.

The report also stated that green lights are set to let the ambulance proceed as it approaches a signal and that signals in front of it are cleared to prevent traffic jams.
