A woman boarded a taxi at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on Friday night and just avoided a potentially hazardous situation in a terrifying occurrence. The woman sought immediate assistance after the driver, who turned out to be an impostor pretending to be an actual Ola taxi driver, allegedly tried to extort money.
At approximately 10:30 p.m., the woman left the airport and went to the Ola pickup area, hoping that the airport-approved station would guarantee a safe ride home. But even though she had asked for a ride, a man in a sedan assured her he would drive her to her location.
"Almost got trafficked/raped/looted/assaulted by a random cab driver who was let in by @BLRAirport in the Ola pickup station & impersonated to be one at terminal 1 of BLR airport at 10:30pm had I not called 112, I'd not be here typing this," the woman wrote in a social media post on 'X'.
