A Bengaluru government bus driver was verbally harassed and physically attacked while on duty. Bengaluru An anonymous individual who was later apprehended is accused of verbally abusing and assaulting a government bus driver here, according to police on Monday.

They claimed that the event happened on Sunday at approximately 8:00 p.m. while the bus was traveling from Jayanagar to Vijayanagar. 

The bus was parked close to the Haleguddadahalli signal when an unidentified person on a motorcycle pulled up next to it and started verbally insulting the driver, according to the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation. After that, the man got on the bus and started beating the driver, who was then going about his business.

In spite of the unexpected assault, Murtuza Imam Saab promptly locked the bus's doors. A senior BMTC official stated, "With the assistance of the passengers on board, the attacker was captured and brought to the Byatarayanapura police station, where a non-cognizable report was filed against the unidentified individual." 

Imam was taken right away to Victoria Hospital for medical attention after the event because he was hurt during the assault. After receiving prompt medical attention, he was released later that evening. According to him, the authorities were notified right away and came to the scene to evaluate the situation and take the necessary action.

The driver was verbally and physically assaulted throughout the event, which occurred as a result of a misunderstanding between the driver and the individual disputing.
