These 10 Bengaluru metro stations now allow to park their bicycles.

The Directorate of Urban Land Transport (DULT) has started a project to add cycle docks to ten more Bengaluru Metro stations in an effort to make commuting across the city more comfortable and environmentally friendly.

In collaboration with the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), this project expands on the success of a previous pilot project in which ten stations received "pedal ports" and cycle stands as part of an effort to improve last-mile connectivity.

The objective? To improve last-mile connection by making it simple for metro passengers to get on bicycles and pedal to their destinations, the research said.

According to the journal, DULT has chosen a number of stations for new cycle docking installations, including Kengeri Bus Terminal, KR Pura, Madavara, and National College, after examining elements like ridership, site availability, and current transit options. For added comfort and security, some will even include cycle stands with surface treatments and protective coverings.
