🕌 Karnataka Unites in Prayer and Patriotism: Special Mosque Services and Tiranga Yatre for Armed Forces
In a powerful display of communal harmony and national solidarity, Karnataka has rallied faith and civic institutions to support the Indian Armed Forces engaged in Operation Sindoor. The state has taken an unprecedented step by urging both temples and mosques to hold special rituals and prayers for the safety and success of military personnel combating terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
🕌 Friday Prayers in Mosques for Operation Sindoor
The Minority Welfare Department, led by Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan, has announced that mosques across Karnataka will dedicate this Friday’s Jumma prayers to the Indian Army. This includes all mosques under the Karnataka State Waqf Board, signaling an inclusive and coordinated effort to spiritually back the nation's soldiers.
“These prayers are not only a tribute to our brave soldiers but also a collective expression of our hopes and blessings for their mission,” said Minister Khan. A formal letter has already been dispatched to the Waqf Board to ensure participation across all applicable mosques.
This move mirrors a recent initiative by the Muzrai Department, which directed Hindu temples to perform special pujas on May 8. Led by Minister Ramalinga Reddy, these ceremonies were held with devotion, seeking divine protection for troops on the frontlines of Operation Sindoor.
🇮🇳 Tiranga Yatre: A March of Unity in Bengaluru
In tandem with these religious observances, a vibrant display of patriotism is set to unfold on the streets of Bengaluru. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will host a massive Tiranga Yatre—a tricolor flag march—in honor of the armed forces’ valor.
Scheduled for Friday morning, the rally will start at KR Circle and culminate at Chinnaswamy Stadium. Senior leaders and BBMP staff are expected to attend, with instructions issued for full staff participation by 9 a.m. The march is more than a ceremonial act—it is a symbolic declaration of public unity and unwavering support for the military response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack.
🤝 A Model of Unity in Diversity
Karnataka’s multi-pronged show of support highlights a rare and heartening convergence of religious, administrative, and civil forces. Whether through pujas, prayers, or public marches, the message is clear: the people of Karnataka stand firmly with those defending the nation.
As Operation Sindoor continues to unfold, this cross-community solidarity serves as a reminder that patriotism transcends religious and political lines—uniting citizens in shared respect and gratitude for the armed forces.
