To ensure a pollution-free Deepavali this year, the state government has directed all district administrations to limit cracker bursting between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., as well as to sell only green crackers.
In accordance with the Supreme Court directives, the Department of Municipal Administration has instructed all corporations, including the one in Bengaluru, and other urban local bodies to allow the bursting of crackers only during the two hours specified by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB). tnn
