Firework trading, which used to be a thriving industry in Bengaluru, has significantly decreased as a result of strict laws governing non-green firecrackers. Nowadays, most traders follow government regulations, and many only choose environmentally friendly products.
According to the report, several established companies, like Sree Jyoti Stores in Mamulpet, which have been in business since 1901, have stopped selling firecrackers entirely when the government canceled their trade license two years ago.
The owner's son, Jagadeesh Paranjyoti, acknowledged that this choice compelled the business to close, bringing an end to a period for the iconic institution.

The owner's son, Jagadeesh Paranjyoti, acknowledged that this choice compelled the business to close, bringing an end to a period for the iconic institution. J. Madan Kumar, a fireworks seller and the Federation of All India Fireworks Traders' state convenor, also addressed the issue with reporters, emphasizing that many vendors on Avenue Road and Sultanpete are avoiding firecracker sales this year.
He did point out, though, that stores in places like Magadi Road, Mahadevpura, and KR Puram still offer eco-friendly firecrackers that have earned NEERI certification, according to the publication.
