149 underage riders booked during the special drive in Bengaluru.

Traffic police in south Bengaluru lodged 149 cases against juvenile riders during a special campaign near schools and colleges on Friday.

Seeing an increase in unsafe driving and traffic infractions by both students and parents near educational institutions, traffic police from 13 stations initiated this campaign to reduce crashes and potential injuries.

They investigated 1,145 vehicles and discovered that 149 were committing traffic infractions such as underage riding, riding on the wrong side of the road, or riding without helmets.

The Thalaghattapura traffic police station limits had the most cases, 31 in total, followed by 26 in Jayanagar and 22 in Adugodi.
