The Purple Line of the Bengaluru Metro will be halted on Sunday.

The Purple Line of the Bengaluru metro will be partially disrupted on Sunday morning, according to a notice made by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL). The disruption will occur between the metro stations of Baiyappanahalli and MG Road in the morning hours owing to repair work.

The metro service at Baiyappanahalli will commence at 9 a.m. on Sunday, rather than 7 a.m., according to BMRCL. "On 05.11.2023 (Sunday), BMRCL will begin maintenance work on the Purple Line between Swami Vivekananda Road and Indiranagar metro stations." To allow the aforementioned maintenance, metro train services on the Purple Line between MG Road and Baiyappanahalli metro stations would begin at 9 a.m. rather than 7 a.m., according to the notice.

The Purple Line, on the other hand, will run as usual after 9 a.m., according to the metro administration.

Meanwhile, the other wings of Namma Metro will continue to operate as usual. "On all other sections, viz. Challaghatta and MG Road, Balyappanahalli to Whitefield (Kadugodi)," the notification continued. Train service to Nagasandra and Silk Institute will resume as scheduled at 07.00 a.m. from the relevant terminal stations and will run normally."
